We often get asked the question which type of treatment is best for termites, baits or liquid treatment such as Termidor?
Our stance on this subject is that both offer excellent control for an active termite infestation. The biggest thing to consider is how soon you want the product you choose to start working at dealing with the termite colony. Liquid treatment like Termidor begins to kill Termites in a very short period of time where bait systems may take some time longer to get results. Termidor and Premise 75 both are proven at providing excellent termite treatment control. Another thing to consider is the cost associated with both types of products. Baits require regular monitoring where liquid treatments require far less monitoring there for the liquid treatment is typically far less expensive. Over a five year period you could literally save $1300 or more in monitoring costs over baiting stations.
Needless to say, both baits and liquid treatment products work and neither is bad choice here. It’s more a matter of preference and time and cost. With more monitoring comes more time you must devote to allowing your pest control person, company access to your home. This also requires frequent dues or charges for the frequent monitoring.
At EnviroTech Exterminating we offer liquid treatment with Termidor and/or Premise 75 as well as optional bait systems from Advanced for our customers who desire a termite baiting system program. Costs are typically lower with the liquid termite treatment using products like Termidor or Premise 75 over the Baiting system.
